Comment Rules

Ok, we want this to be a place of ideas and opinions. A place where we can discuss technology in a pleasant environment. Unfortunately in this day of tech-gone-wild we also have to set some rules. First and foremost, this is not a democracy. You are a guest here, and as such have a responsibility to behave properly. We are not violating your rights when we remove your post since you don’t have any here. We have full control, and final decision, over what gets posted. We know that there will be areas where we disagree, but we will agree to disagree politely. It is not censorship when we delete your comment. All areas of life have rules that must be followed and failure to follow rules always has consequences. Here, failure to follow rules will be cause to delete your comments, opinions and posts.

All comments must be directed at the topic and not the author of a post or comment. If any comment contains name-calling or personal attacks, we won’t approve the comment. In other words, stay on topic and critique principles or products, not people.

We have our own advertising system in place and will not approve comments containing ads. You will not solicit anyone to buy or sell products or services, or to make donations of any kind. We will not approve comments containing links to external content unrelated to the topic.

You will not solicit anyone to buy or sell products or services, or to make donations of any kind. You will not include links to products in your comment.

Comments that include offensive language of any type will be deleted.

You will not make comments that are libelous, defamatory, harmful, mean, threatening, hateful, abusive, harassing, threatening, racially or ethnically objectionable or invasive of another person’s privacy.

Any content you post that we think even might be illegal will be deleted.

And finally, this list is longer in our mind. We have the right to change these rules or add rules as needed to help provide a safe family environment for our guests. In other words… we can make stuff up to justify deleting content we think is inappropriate. We are fine with, encourage and welcome, differing opinions. Who knows, we may even change each others minds.

Now that that is done, lets talk tech in a constructive & friendly way.

Thanks,

The Management
